I just put the flagstone (which I will fill in with Irish Moss) in with the help(?) of a neighbor kid, Andrew. I had to tell him the dirt was lava, just to keep him from running in it. He's a sweet kid, but holy crap, man.
Other than having to tell him what my name was every five minutes, it was a neat experience, taking a step closer to becoming "Old Man Haddock". I can't wait till kids call me that...
The whole backyard is pretty chaotic due to construction going on in what seems like every corner of the house.
This gives a pretty decent idea of what the whole backyard looks like. Just waiting for the green to return in the grass... and then sit back and enjoy the sweet fragrance of watered, fresh-cut lawn... oh yeah. The picture of the far right of the house is a sample of what the ENTIRE yard looked like when we moved in. There was quite literally about 1-2 inches of dirt and trash on top of dead sod.. something I was
About 3 trips to a landfill with a 15 foot flatbed and 3 tons of crap later.. we were doing alright. I seeded the yard, and that has been a really interesting project to see come to life.
The rest of the inside has been really easy to maintain. Nothing was destroyed too much past that.
- OH! And also if you're willing to get electrocuted a couple of times... okay, so I was lucky there.
Lastly, here is the living room (dirty , of course.)
I know these photos are in no real order, and may even confuse you further, but consider it motivation to come see it in person! I love to have people over, and shortly we will even have a guest room available! How suite, right? But don't expect any special accommodations. What do you think this is? A Holiday Inn?
Again, I love you all and can't wait to see each of you out here!

The house looks really good! At least it will keep you off the streets and too busy to get in trouble, huh?
Memo to Turbo: Whatta wittle sweetie pie wover-boy!!!Good widdow doggie meister!
To Greg -- You really do rock, pal-zee. The house looks great. Getting electrocuted is exactly what keeps me from trying anything in the "renovations" department, oh, that and the fact that we rent. I look forward to more blog.
One more thing: What is shiznite?
I love it. I hope it isn't something I'd be mortified by.
Love, your doting Aunt (that's Ahnt in Boston)
I'm gonna give it another try, Greg! I hope you get this. Let me know if you do.
Love, Pops
