This morning I stopped in Redwood National Forest and brewed myself a strong pot of a hazelnut/kona blend... Needless to say - it was delicious. I plan to stop just outside Portland, Oregon tonight, and visit a couple of churches there tomorrow. One is Imago Dei, and the other is The Bridge. It promise s to be a good day, and I'm excited about it.

Today I have for you a short devotional. Read 1st Corinthians Ch. 13: 8-13 or read the whole chapter for context. Don't worry - it's short ;)

We often forget that we do not have it all figured out. We forget that as humans we are so limited in our understanding of the world. When we love we wait for chemistry to happen first, and we wait for a warranted reason that we should give our love to others. But that is not what God had in mind for us. We are at our best when we love fully, free of the 'what can you do for me' mentality. Today, try to show somebody love when you aren't sure they 'deserve' it. Give freely of your God-given talents, and keep no record of your doings.

Big Love!
